Orange Shirt Day is on September 30Every year on September 30, Canadians are asked to wear an orange shirt to acknowledge the painful legacy of residential schools and the harm that Canada’s residential school system had on generations of Indigenous families and their communities. In the spirit of reconciliation, you and your school are encouraged to take part on Friday September 28, by wearing an orange shirt and raising awareness with students. Visit the Orange Shirt Day website for more information.
