Hello to everyone!

BIG Little Science Centre is excited to announce that the Robotics Club is running again this autumn. With a choice of Thursday or Friday afternoon from 2:45 to 4pm, anyone with an interest in designing, programming and testing your very own robots should be able to attend. These robots use the Mindstorms Lego kits which allow you to build just like you normally do with Lego. But these kits come with many special parts and sensors that provide many twists and tricks.

As well as creating your robot, challenges will be posted to help you progress and discover the true capabilities of these machines.

For ages 10 and up, these clubs are a fantastic opportunity to meet other robot fanatics and have a great time exploring and developing your own creations. No experience is necessary as everyone will be able to work and learn at their own pace. Those with advanced knowledge and abilities will also be quite at home working at their own level.

Sessions will run either Thursday or Friday for two sessions over the fall of 2014. The dates will be:

Thursday or Friday: Sept 18/19, Oct 2/3, Oct 9/10, Oct 16/17, Oct 30/31 for session one

Thursday or Friday: Nov 6/7 Nov 13/14, Nov 20/121, Nov 27/28, Dec 11/12 for session two.

Please find attached the information and registration form. Feel free to sign up for one session or two. And of course share with your friends and everyone who might have a child looking for this type of advanced opportunity.

If you would like to be involved this fall, please sign up as soon as possible. Either drop by to sign up, or call us (if you are not able to come over, or if you plan to mail your registration form and payment), to reserve your spot. All sessions will run at the BIG Little Science Centre, 655 Holt St. Please call or email for further information. (250-554-2572, gord@blscs.org)

We are excited and looking forward to seeing our amazing robot creators and to get the robots rolling. Thank you so much for sharing this info far and wide!

 Sincerely,

Susan and Gord
