Job action update

Last night Dr. Sullivan, Superintendent of Schools, sent out a voice message letting parents know that report cards would not be handed out today. He also informed parents that the BCTF has notified BCPSEA (Public Schools Employers Association) that teachers intend to picket summer school locations.

This message means that report cards will not be distributed at this time, schools will not reopen to students this June, and job action will continue through the summer.

As for what is going to happen at schools on monday remains to be seen, If picket lines are down on monday then the school will be open for parents to drop off library books and pick up items left in the lost and found. I will update this information when it is known.
