Halloween For Hunger
Recently, a group of Pacific Way students went to "We Day" in Vancouver, a gathering of thousands of students throughout BC who want to make a difference both in their community and globally.
This Halloween, Pacific Way students in grade 6 and 7 will be volunteering for "Halloween for Hunger", a Me to We initiative supported by Free the Children. On Halloween night these students will come door-to-door in our neighbourhood collecting food bank items for our local food bank. You will be able to recognize these students by their name tags, which will read "Pac Way Halloween for Hunger Participant". Please set aside non-perishable items for these students when they come to your door.
For more information, please check out: www.freethechildren.com and click on the "Halloween for Hunger" link, or you can contact our school organizers: Madison or Diane Henry at 250-374-2697.
